HELLO FRIEND,
I’ve been in the Product Design space for over 15 years and remain forever delighted by its pairing of the fundamental (human needs!) with the mutable (our chaotic and changing world!)
At work, and at home, I’m most myself when I’m asking questions, getting lost in a story, looking for connections or doing an experiment. My favorite communities and organizations value these practices, too.
I am currently leading the Product Design team at America’s Test Kitchen. Below are some of the most challenging, impactful, and rewarding work I’ve done over the past nine years there.
YOUR PAL,

Shoot for the (5) Stars→
We took our dusty skeuomorphic app from a content repository to an integral tool in the home cook’s journey, and to Apple’s “Apps We Love” List!
02
DIY Recipe →
Leaving behind print constraints, we rebuilt the Recipe experience around what makes ATK great: our rigorous testing methodology, thoughtful teaching style, and, above all, being centered around the home cook.
01
Dot Connecting →
Climbing over silos, and connecting dots in the name of a more holistic, dynamic, accessible view of the home cook: researcher to researcher, research/er to non-researcher, and data point to data point
05
Mechanics of a Recipe →
Home cooks needed a digital-first recipe experience that keeps you focused and ‘in the flow’ when cooking from your phone– especially when the timer’s going off and you’re mid-butterflying a chicken

Reviewing Reviews →
Creating space for what comes before (and after) “which one to buy” in a home cook’s ingredient & equipment journey
07
Mise (UI) En Place →
A system of repeatable components to drive the pace of creation and innovation within our cross-functional digital team
08
Wayfinding & Discovery→
We identified a canon of fundamental questing archetypes and built a flexible wayfinding system around them– connecting home cooks to what they need when they need it, even if they aren’t sure what ‘it’ is yet.
04
Homepage Hospitality →
A ‘bottle episode’ redesign focused on reimagining how to show up in conversation (and larger relationships) with our customers: new, old, repaired, or conflicted
